Parks & Recreation


There are two parks in the Village of Shortsville.

Budd Park, located on the south side of Water Street, features playground equipment, a baseball field, basketball and tennis courts. The large pavillion is perfect for family gatherings and is able to be reserved by village residents through the village office.

Jones-Blunt Park is located on the north side of Water Street, adjacent to the beautiful Canandaigua Lake Outlet.
Jones-Blunt is a great spot for fishing, hiking, and family picnics.

Field Trips
Must be registered in the Shortsville Village Park Program, and turn in a permission slip/sign up sheet for field trips.)


Directions

The Village of Shortsville is 2 miles south off of Exit 43 from the New York State Thruway (I-90). The city of Rochester is 25 miles to the west, and Syracuse 50 miles to the east. The county seat, in the city of Canandaigua, is 7 miles south of the village.

About Shortsville

Today Shortsville is a busy, happy village with many fine homes and tree-lined streets. Its population, just over 1,500 enjoys the advantage of a fine central school system and a local telephone company, both shared by the other member of the “Twin Cities” the Village of Manchester.
